New Inlet

New inlet cut open today in Wrightsville Beach. They have been working on it the past couple of months. Apparently it will be approx 8 ft deep at low tide. Anyone coming through this way I will be happy to give more details or asist in any other way.

Hi, are you speaking of Masonboro Inlet,or has an entirely new inlet been constructed?

Masonboro still there. New inlet between Shell island and Figure eight island. They shoveled all of the sand up against Shell island in hopes of saving the hotel from erosion.

No jetty, or marker bouys yet, I will keep you posted. I would imagine the inlet will be similiar conditions to Carolina Beach inlet , if you are familiar. I still recommend masonboro inlet ,I sail my hobie out of there and even a little sunfish all the time.
