Internet Snail Mail - An Oxymoron?

I notice on the "How it Works" description, that you access your mail, open & scan it,-decide what to shred, etc.. but they don't describe the "in house" process. Wouldn't your mail need to be physically opened and scanned first to make it available on your account?

I use the emailings that I recieve as email and once or twice a month I have St Brendan's Isle send my mail to an anticipated port. Today I received my new state registration decals for my vessel and dinghy. You're not getting those online. I also receive precription medications,- they're not arriving on the information highway either! I know many fulltime cruisers that are using St. Brendan's Isle worldwide. Maybe you would find a use for email, "physical" postings and this third form. I'll not be able to give up recieving actual articles. What about the parts I order from the Defender catalog? Maybe with a volume of mail that's beyond my needs, it would be wise. 'take care and joy, Aythya crew

Given the prevalence of identity theft and the insecure nature of internet-based e-mail... I would recommend not using the service. Do you really want a complete group of strangers opening your mail and possibly reading the information off of it and doing what they want with it??
