No you do not. You do need to get a customs decal sticker for re-entry though.

HMM transponders?? kinda kills the reason for going sailing in the first place ... allthough I understand the reason this country would want to keep track of coming n going ships --guess we hav'nt made too many friends of other countrys ;;;;;;

NO! You call into customs when you return and read them your sticker number. They decide then to let you pass or come see the boat. If you don't have a sticker you must then purchase one anyway and that will require a visit.
After dealing with customes...THEN you need to find immigration and check in with your passport. Don't forget both customs and immigrsation.
