Oriental NC advice please

Any suggestions on whereto swap crew in Oriental, NC on Sunday, June 22? My brother is flying in to New Bern, arriving around noon. We left a car there for him.

Is there a good place to dock when we pick him up? I'm not against the idea of having to eat lunch somewhere.

We are in a Hylas 47, draft 6'.

Thanks for any advice!

There's the Town Dock, or the Oriental Hotel and Marina, which if they have an open slip might let you dock for lunch. You'd be better off, just going to New Bern. You can tie up at the Sheraton for lunch, and it's easier access and better depth than Oriental. It's a half day run from Oriental to New Bern.

Just pick him up at the fuel dock. The oriental town docks usually have boats tied up there and there is no space for parking.
