Dayton/Cincinnati Sailors

I am new to sailing and have been sailing on a local lake single handed this summer. Things are going well and I have few problems. However, I would like some feedback from time to time. Are there any sailors in the area that would like to come aboard for some lake sailing? I have a small cruising keelboat and would appreciate the help.

You'd be better off posting this in the crew wanted section. pm camaraderie or cruisingdad and ask them to move it.

also suggest you read the post in my signature....

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I live in Dayton, and would love to see if I can help with your problems. I am not that knowledge able though, because I have not been sailing for very long relative to others here, but maybe I can help. PM me if your interested.

Sailormon6 will become famous soon enough
Log onto blsa.us for the website for the Brookville Lake Sailing Assn. Check their racing schedule on the website. Show up at the Hanna Creek Docks at Brookville Lake (about 45-50 minutes west of Cinn-Dayton) on any race day at, or a few minutes before, noon, and announce that you'd like to crew for anyone who needs crew. Somebody will need crew. You can learn a lot by crewing on a race boat.

Start sailing regularly at Brookville Lake, join the sailing association, and hang out on Hanna Creek docks, and you'll find plenty of people willing to sail with you. There is some free dockspace available at Hanna Creek on a first come basis.
