After retiring early two years ago for a life of cruising, we''ve met many cruisers who''ve left their four-legged crewmembers behind because they were unsure of how they''d adapt to life aboard.

We''ve now sailed over 11,000 miles with our two Golden Retrievers, Max & Bailey, and couldn''t be happier about our decision to bring them along. Thanks guys for the positive post! I sail with 2 dogs myself, but on a much smaller level. 2 Jack Russels! Fantastic boat dogs (easy to bath in the shower) I am looking to crew in the Carib. this winter & am hoping I will have good luck with a boat that really appreciates the worth of a dog out on the high seas!
