Cruising with a dog

We''re planning to spend a couple of years in the Caribbean and will be bringing our dog. He''s a good sailor, but does like to get off the boat. I know some islands are tough with dogs. Does anyone know of any islands that are more dog-friendly than others. Any other related thoughs?

I''m sorry I can''t give you any dog friendly island suggestions, but when people say their woofers are good sailors I want to better understand what they mean.

That side of you is showing again...you know the one that is way too critical! A woofer that is a good sailor is one that enjoys the hell out of it! That applies to people also...when I take a guest out with me, they don''t have to "work" in order for me to enjoy having them aboard...they just have to be happy they are there.

Denr, Denr...haven''t you learned anything yet from me...same rule applies with meowers...is the fact that they''re happy sailing. For singlehanders like me, it''s just nice to have them aboard, they don''t have to be able to deal with a winch...or maybe that do if it''s spelled wench.

First of all Denr, I only have one cat. But he weighs 22.5 lbs so he probably qualifies as two cats. (He eats enough for a whole kennel of cats.) He''s too set in his ways to go sailing now anyway.

And Kokopuff............sorry if I offended you. My mind hasn''t been right since I decided to join Denr for the first charter on that fellow''s Beneteau 411 in the Keys. Theme song for that cruise will be the Willie Nelson classic "Crazy" of course. (and before someone writes in that Patsy Cline sang that song, you''re right. But Willie wrote it.)
