Raising the mast

I have just bought a Duncanson 26 and already I have had a disaster in lowering her mast (broken mast step and 27Mh aerial)
Does anyone have any ideas on how I might set it up to raise and lower the mast safely and efficiently?

Raising the mast

Check out Bruce Bingham''s "Sketchbook" he has a complete rigging system for safe raising & lowering of mast. Good luck.

Raising the mast

Try using the boom in the gooseneck as a gin pole then attach a line to the topping lift, have a buddy steady the boom while you take a turn around the transon stanchion and raise and lower away.
