Fees into Bahamas

I am just wondering what the current fees are to get into the bahamas. What is the boat length that increases the fee.

Thank you.

+/- 35'' seems to be the current determining variable.

Fees into Bahamas

Many people are purportedly avoiding the Bahamas because of the exorbitant entry fees. Boat-dependant businesses are supposedly putting pressure on Nassau to re-adjust their thinking. Cruisng World''s site has had a number of discussions on this.

There is a change in the fees...the cost is the same (boats under 35...$150 boats over $300) BUT they now allow you to enter twice in a 90 day period so that in effect you are only paying 1/2 (if you are a frequent cruiser to the bahamas)

I bet those Bahamians who cater to the boating community are taking the hit and want to see changes.

Just my $.02

I don''t think so. They recently imposed a 645% increase in marina dock taxes so that a marina paying $1000 bucks last year will have to pay 6450 this year. Guess who will end up paying for the increase!
Important thing to remember is that the people in the Bahamas and those who serve the boating commmunity are most friendly and appreciative of boaters...it''s the folks in Nassau that really don''t care about them or us.
