Lewmar 44 Primaries

Thanks to everyone who has helped in the past with my new 1982 CS36T.
I am now working on the Lewmar44 promary winches.
The 44's on the Lewmar website are post 1992. Does anyone have information on the previous model?
Also, any recommendations on care and rebuild would appreciated.
Thanks,
John Maschek

sailingfool will become famous soon enough
Strip, clean them and re-assemble, they should be good to go. If you have any broken springs or rounded pawls, replace them. See Lewmar

I use lamp oil in a large 10 gallon plastic tub as the cleaning agent , you can just dump the dirty parts into the tub, scrub them with a brush, then dry them.
