Propane Tank for a CS30?

Can anyone confirm what is the best size propane tank for the propane locker
in the cockpit of a CS30?
We're not sure...!

Please and thanks!

Propane tanks are not all standard dimensions... best to take a tape measure to your locker, then take the measurements to where ever you plan to buy the tank.

The newer fiberglass tanks are great, no rust and you can check the level easily. They are in some ways bulkier than the older tanks.

Unfortunately the smaller more compact tanks seem to be getting harder to find and disporportionately expensive.

Thanks for that tip...I fel that since the propane locker was a standard size for CS30's, that some fellow owners may have an opinion about what was the best fit.
I don't know that we can get the fiberglass tanks here...have never seen one in Ontario.

Bought a CS30 last year. The propane tank was past its date and could not be refilled so I looked around for a new one. Its a 10lb tank but it has to be tall and narrow to fit in the propane locker. Problem is that just about all 10lb tanks are the short and fat models. None of the standard large chain stores stock them. Had to go to a specialty propane store and have them order it. It cost me just under $100. Found out later that I could have had the old tank refurbished for abut $50. Bottom line is you'll need to check the yellow pages and make some phone calls.

Sorry one last thing, If your missing the owners manual type in CS30bottrell on the internet. This will take you to a family web sight by a guy called Bottrell. He has pretty much all of the owners manual on his web page and other good information on the CS30 as well.
