Has anyone repowered a C&C 34 with the old yanmar 2QM20 to a new 33YM30. particularly interested in the engine bed fitting, or retrofitting and shaft alignment. Thanks.
We repowered the 2GM20F with the 3GY?... not the same thing, but everything fit perfectly in the old mounts, and the shaft alignment was actually better. Go figure. Hope your repower project goes as well!
I just replaced a 3QM30 with a 3YM30 in a C&C 36. The stringers had to be cut down 1" and corner iron bolted to them to accept the thinner engine.[edit]
