yanmar cockpit panel.

My new to me Santana 30 has a yanmar diesel in it. The panel with the tach and key has the film with the writing on it peeling off. Where can I replace that?

I see Panel Visor advertised in Good Old Boat magazine. Might give them a try. PortVisor rain shields for opening portholes ~ from Seaworthy Goods

I Have always found both very helpful. For used try EBay. There are several different sizes available that would work.

My panel is recessed and is partially shielded by clear plastic.
Looks like the port visor would have the same effect if retro fitted.

I researched a bit and emailed someone that deals in Yanmar parts (I have the same model). I was told that you have to buy the complete panel, including the circuit board, and the cost is around $108. A shame that you cannot buy just the template. Mine has peeled off and that is all I needed.

I found a local place that has it for $105. He told me it was merely the entire plastic front, not the electronics. He could be wrong. I'll probably get it and the plastic protection cover also listed above.

Just replaced my panel. It was 105 for the panel. It's only the panel. No electronics. I had to swap all my old stuff.

I think I've crossed some threshold of boat ownership regarding costs. I saw the picture of the new plastic panel and the price and thought "A hundred bucks? Not bad". Looks nice though.

When I installed my Yanmar 2GM, I recessed my control panel and put a clear plastic door over the recessed panel. The control panel looks new (it is 19 years old now), I've changed the clear plastic door twice, for cheap.

My panel was cracked when I bought the boat so I cut a piece of 3/16" aluminum to fit including the holes for gauges etc. and just placed it over top.
Looks OK and is very strong and cost just my time.
