yanmar 3ym20 raw water pump

Hi everyone. I have discovered a leak in the raw water pump of my yanmar 3ym20 pump. Seems to be the oil seal. Any advise on how to change it. What do I have to dismount if the pump needs removing.
Any advice welcome!!

Since you have to take the pump apart, you might as well do a rebuild. The link below shows the process for a different pump, but it will be similar for yours.

It's not a trivial job, but if you compare the price of a rebuild kit to that for a new pump, you'll see its worth it.

Give me your email, I'll send you the pump service instruction I wrote.

I bought a kit and rebuilt the raw water pump om my Yanmar 2GM a few years ago. Not a big job but there was one or two cir clips on the middle of the shaft that held the impeller/shaft in place that was not obvious and took a little head scratching until I saw it.
