Transmission Fluid Type "A" & 'F"

Any body know the difference between these 2 types of tranny fluids? Interchangeable?

IIRC, "A" is used in everything except "F"ord.

Not interchangeable in cars. My boat's transmission uses motor oil.

Auto trans fluid is used in automatic transmissions and can be used in some power steering systems and also trim tab pumps for boats. Not sure what the application the OP was asking about.

Tranny fluid for a Hurth marine transmission. Wondering what the difference is as I can only find type A here.

Not many Fords there. You're good to go with type A.
