NextGen Generator fuel screw adjustment

I have a 5.5kw NextGen Diesel Generator, Kubota engine. While swapping out the raw water pump I inadvertently adjusted the fuel regulator screw. (in an effort to get at the water pump mounting nuts).
On initial re-start the unit ran VERY slowly. Stopped and turned out the screw about three turns, re-start and it now seems to run okay with no obvious smoke or oily discharge from the exhaust. Can't believe I managed to get the setting right, does anyone know how to properly set this screw?

Re: NextGen Generator fuel screw adjustment

You need a meter to measure the frequency (hertz) on the electrical output and adjust the engine RPM until you get to 50 or 60, depending on which it is supposed to be. US is 60hz.

Re: NextGen Generator fuel screw adjustment

Thanks but thought that was the the throttle screw - engine RPM - that equated to frequency. Original setting still good for this, freq running at 61htz so am happy with this. issue I have is fuel limiting / delivery which is load dependent.
