Marine Diesel Classes in SF bay?

Just purchased a C-310 that was in the pacific yachting charter fleet in Santa Cruz. The engine has been neglected unfortunately and I can't afford to pay a mechanic to do *everything* that needs doing with the Universal M-25.

So I thought I could handle stuff like changing out the raw water pump, Changing the oil, tranny fluid, Coolant, replacing hoses and cleaning the Heat Exchanger. This is just from the wealth of knowledge online, but I don't have any practical experience.

Basic diesel classes would be great but I haven't been able to find any and I wonder if I'm just looking in the wrong place. Aside from that, would anybody be able to recommend a diesel mechanic in Monterey Bay or South San Francisco Bay Area that would help me with my engine?

Thanks!
