I saw one fabricated on another thread. That looked like fun, so I may try it, since it is a few months until I'll be going anyplace substantial.

Hi
yanmar 1gm,motored up river for 1hr all good,following weekend would not start.
have had injector cleaned,fitted new head casket as oil was grey,now changed oil/filter.fuel filter primary and secondary changed.water pump hoses clamps all changed.motor will not start when does need full throttle and then it slow builds revs,knock throttle back and it stops.cleaned elbow.
is this a fuel pump problem?or rings gone on piston?

hi all update on my bl!@dy yanmar.can confirm it is the injector pump and motor is out of yacht and at home.just secured another yanmar for $700nz which has been rebuilt new piston rings injector pump.heard it running with a diesil mechanic and his advice grab it.
