2gm20F non standard sensors

Hello,

My yanmar 2gm20 has what appears to be a custom sensor wired to a custom gauge instead of the switch type sensor and the alarm. I don't find any mention of that type of things in my service manual.

I would like to replace the sensor but would rather keep the gauge if possible. Is there a standard for these things? Can I find replacements for them?

Thanks

Yes, the sensors are (mostly) standard. Just look up any of the major instrument mfrs (like Teleflex or VDO) on a boat supply store website and you will find the temp sensors.

Here's one: http://www.defender.com/product3.jsp...099&id=1856141
