2QM20 Oil Change

Anybody know the secret to extracting the oil from a 2QM20? When I use my extractor pump dealio thru the dipstick tube, I can only get about a litre and a half. I usually warm the engine, remove this litre and a half, refill with clean oil, remove a litre and a half again to get as much dirty oil out as I can, then refill again. Of course I change the oil filter last.

How can I remove more oil?

Thanks

Re: 2QM20 Oil Change

When I use my extractor on my 2QM20 I have to pull the tube out several times during the operation and this sort gets the suction going again. It's one of those pump-up type of extractors and it seems to work just fine. Takes awhile though.

Re: 2QM20 Oil Change

I've never in 4 years ben able to get more than the litre and a half. I keep pumping up the extractor, still no joy.

Re: 2QM20 Oil Change

As I said: I have to pull it out several times during the operation. I extract some and when it seems to stop I pull it out until it starts flowing again and then stick it back in. Pump it more. Repeat. And then I repeat some more until it is all out and all I hear is slurping. Just like a good milkshake! It is a slow process but it doesn't seem to take more than 10-15 minutes. Also I shove it around some to make sure I am getting to the bottom. Hopes this helps.
