Manual vs. Electronic Controls

I have a pair of lightning-fried electronic controls for the throttle and shifter. There are two helm stations about 25 feet apart. Are there manual controls that work well in a dual-helm setup over that distance? Will there be slop in the cables over time? Or will they start sticking?
