Which Perkins Sabre is this?

Our engine says "Perkins A4.2" in raised letters on the side. At the bottom corner of the block it has raised numbers and letters: 3717J09B/7.

Any idea which model this is? I'm trying to get parts. For instance, one of the hoses feels pretty soft.

Regards,
Brad

Seems as though Perkins A4.2 is the model # and the other number is the serial #.
Do you have the shop manual for it?

Parts for your Perkins -

Brad,
Trust that you know about Trans Atlantic Diesels down in Virginia? TAD for perkins engines, perkins diesel, perkins marine, perkins parts, perkins generators, perkins service (I am a customer - no stake in the company)

Knowledgeable, prompt and fair prices. Whatever you do, avoid Foley Engines in Mass. - search these treads for the warnings and decide for yourself!
Happy Motoring!
