Nope. Consistent BLACK smoke is an issue. White smoke is not a big deal, if she still starts easily and runs to full power. If you have trouble starting her (ie if you need to crank it for more than 30 seconds,) then you have a problem worth looking into.

OK. It starts fine, runs fine, oil level good after the trip, etc. so I'm presuming/hoping then that it's just due to the extended usage, and will work on cleaning up the transom and keep an eye on it.

Cleaning off your transom easily

The black diesel smudge on your transom is very easily cleaned off using, believe it or not, Gasolene, then with soap and water.

This is normal exhaust and there is nothing wrong with your diesel engine, just enjoy it as it is.

No you haven't blown a head gasket. The cause of black smoke (or excess soot) is too much fuel vs air in the combustion chamber. A small amount of soot in normal. Yours looks to me to be maybe a bit more than normal.

There can be many causes, but common ones are are excessive load on the engine from a dirty prop, dirty bottom, rope around the prop or shaft, clogged exhaust system, and the wrong size or too much pitch in the prop. It could be a clogged air intake system, but this is unlikely.
