Oil for M-25XP Universal

I'm going to be doing my first oil change on my boat in the new few weeks and have been getting conflicted suggestions on what weight oil to use.
Is 10w-40 the best for my 1987 Universal?

15W-40 "C" or compression rated diesel specific oil is what most every one uses in those Kubota blocks. Shell Rotella T or Chevron Delo 400 are the two most widely available diesel engine oils. Wal*Mart sells both so no need to pay chandlery prices.

Thanks for the info. I'll pick up some at Walmart this week.
