Good for you.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Foley Engines

Yeah I found it easy to fill out as well, I hope more people will too, you can only get away with stuff like this for so long before you DO IT TO THE WRONG PERSON!

Go For It!

Keep up the good work, guys (and gals)!
Fortunately, (yikes - did I say that?!) I took abuse from Dr. Diesel BEFORE I sent him any money, so technically I don't have a dog in this fight. Glad that people with a legal ax to grind are taking him to the cleaners! Keep us posted!

"Phoney Engines"

Don't just tell me...go to RipOffReport and tell the world. Save some one else from being ( if you ask me) swindled. You cannot say He is a ruthless swindler...you can say that you feel that you have been swindled. I will watch for your very own Ripoff Report when I try a seach on Foley Engines. Go there and look around and you will see all the other people who feel that they have been victims of foley.

3 years ago I needed to repair or replace my hurth 100 tranny. I was in Bucksport marina on my way south . Bucksport had wi-fi and I was searching
for parts /info on the hurth. Called Foley and spoke w/ Dr. D. Found him to be
extremely rude and pushy. wanted me to exchange for $2000 and told me a rebuild or overhaul was beyond my ability and only "old men w/ the winter to pass and a machine shop would attempt a rebuild of a hurth"
I was so put off by the bad attitude that I chose not to do buss. w/ them.
I found another place out of Washington state that was much nicer and assured me it wasn't that complex a task. Ordered $250 of parts and a manual , took me an afternoon and a few hand tools to get it back to serviceable. worked for quite a few more hours before it began slipping again.
I replaced it w/ a used hurth 150 and no problems since.
Until I read this thread I was thinking that my experience w/ Dr. Diesel was
somehow my issue ! guess I was wrong.

ZF Hurth

Thanks for posting the link, I posted in 3 posts and they were removed because of multiple posts.
I wish I would have been turned off before getting sucked in to Foley Engines picking up my Trans, live and learn, I know DR D turns people off, I delt with Phil at first and he was not that bad, but once they have your part or money you get to deal with DR D, and he is a real PEACH!
