Volvo MD2 Transmission Operation

The transmission does not appear to engage fully in either reverse or forward

Has anyone a shop manual describing adjustments for the transmission...

Engine is about 1967

Thank you

jrd22 will become famous soon enough
I think Dad had one of those that was slipping like yours and I did some research years ago for him, so don't take this as the gospel. I believe they have a cone clutch and your only option is to have it re-lined as parts are not available. As I recall I did a search on the internet and found at least one place that does it. Hopefully someone with more hands on experience will come along with better info. than this. Good luck.

As jrd22 has already stated, it has a cone clutch.

Go to MarinePartsEurope https://www.marinepartseurope.com/en/default.aspx for exploded views of engine and transmission.
