Wanted, Dead or Alive: Westerbeke Four-60 15hp Diesel

Hi,

Does anyone out there know where I could pick up an old Westerbeke Four-60 15hp diesel engine? Doesn't matter if it runs or if the accessories are there, as long as the basic engine is mostly complete.

Thanks, Ian

Hi Scott,

Thanks very much for the very quick reply, but I'm looking specifically for a Four-60.

For those not familiar with the Westerbeke Four-60, it's a little four-cylinder, 60 cubic inch, 15 horsepower unit. I believe they were made from about 1970 to 1979 or so.
Thanks
Ian

Seems like it would be a tight little engine for a Citroen 2CV

Hey SoulVoyage!
You're closer than you think with your comment about using one of these in a Citroen 2CV... The base engine for the Westerbeke 4-60 is a diesel version of the 1-litre gas engine used in the original Austin Minis and many other small British cars.

Westerbeke 4-60

Are you still looking for a Westerbeke 4-60? I have a spare 4-60 engine, mostly complete, that I would be willing to sell. I also have a lot of experience with this engine having nursed one along in my boat for the past 18 years and a number of spare parts. My email is jeconway3@gmail.com.
