Yanmar Fuel Problem?

Our last time out, engine (Yanmar 2GmF) ran for 10 minutes and then revs decreased and engine stopped. Would not restart. Changed all filters. Bled appropriate parts of fuel system. Restarted and it ran smoothly for about 5 minutes, then decelerated and finally stopped just like before. What are most probable causes and fixes?

Maybe:
1. plugged tank vent
2. plugged or partial blocked fuel pickup tube screen in tank
3. air leak in hose couplings or filter body
4. hose collapsing inside

This may show where the air leak, if any, might be:

it was #2 for me after changing filters, bleeding system, swapping out suspect fuel.....
It was crap and 2 ziptie heads blocking fuel pick up. Which was not a pickup per se but a supply fitting at bottom of tank that was being obstructed when the boat was slowed while approaching dock or mooring. The worst time for a stall as far as I'm concerned.

Forgot this, some lift pumps may have an integral filter inside?

Wouldn't a blocked or constricted exhaust line also produce these symptoms?
Is there a color to the the exhaust gases before it stalls? Do you see exhaust gases?
What noises does it make when it shuts down? Does it gradually shut down or stop kind of quickly?

Fuel supply is the obvious culprit covered by the above posts.

Had same problem with my 3GM years ago, checked all the usual
suspects as stated above. Found best/easiest way to locate/eliminate problem was to hook up a little aux. tank and fuel line (like the outboards use) then proceed to bypass all fuel delivery lines and filters. Go straight into motor and then work your
way back. Will make short work of isolating problem.
All these years later I still take that little tank as a back up/day tank when I take my little cruises.

There are several good threads that address same problem.
