Fuel tank removal - 1989 Mirage 35 sail boat

I just climbed under my winter storage tarp and was
checking around engine and have found the fuel tank leaking Has anyone had the experience taking it out.

Misty.. welcome to SN.. I've taken the liberty of editing your title.

Nice boat.. can't help you directly but assuming the tank is aft under the cockpit? We have friends with a 33 (essentially the same boat).

Fortunately Bob Perry posts here now and then, if anyone knows what's possible here he's the guy..
