Yanmar Parts Catalogs

My boat has a Yanmar 2GM. I've seen parts lists that only show part numbers and a part name where the part name may be listed multiple times with different part numbers, not sure which I would need.

What I really wanted was something more detailed that showed a diagram of where the parts went on the engine with the associated part number. After a week or so of searching, I finally found this link with a list of Yanmar Engines.

For my 2GM, I would click the one at the top "123GM" (for 1GM, 2GM, 3GM).

Looks like you can click on the engine model you're interested in and you'll be able to select the Spare Parts Catalog that shows detailed drawings for various parts of the engine and a list of part numbers. This way you can be sure you're getting the correct part number you need because you can see where on the engine the part goes.

I hope this could be a good resource for others with Yanmar engines.

Re: Yanmar Parts Catalogs

It is an excellent resource - it took me a bit to find the version in English - but it was worth the search.

Thanks

Re: Yanmar Parts Catalogs

Airwin, I have a 2GMF, the same engine plus freshwater cooling. I downloaded the manuals as PDFs -- long enough ago that I don't remember where I got them.

Just be aware that there are a few variations in the 2GM/2GMF series, so always call in your parts order rather than using the web. Be ready to give them your engine serial number. Any Yanmar parts vendor worth his/her salt can use it to see which variation you have.

Regards,

Tom

Re: Yanmar Parts Catalogs

Your catalogue link is quite good but I see it does not cover the older Yanmar models (eg 3GMD).

If you have an older engine like myself I suggest to look at this Danish website which has exploded views with part numbers of the older small Yanmar marine engines:

Glad the link is useful.

The link you posted is from the same site and it's listed at the very top as 123GM. I also have to use the same file since I use an older 2GM.

Re: Yanmar Parts Catalogs

What parts do you need to get?

I bought a valve cover gasket, zincs and fuel filter O-rings from this place in California. swdieselinc.com

I had the same issue too with all the shipping restrictions.

When do you need the parts? I might be able to help.
