Group 29?

Yes. It seems Everstart and I think Duracell,(walmart and sam's) are the only ones that come in that size. not that I've researched it.
Very close in dimensional size. I have 2, 27s I need to replace.

rounded up sizes
29's - 13 X 10 X 7 (12.97 x 9.78 x 6.78h ) 109 ah x 2 for my house bank.
27's - 13 X 9 X 7 ( 12.875 x 9.125 x 6.75h) 114 ah
I'm going verify those dimensions first. because it seems they have the width and heights crossed.

I don't think the 29s will have any problem fitting in a group 27 box.
Fits Group 27, Inside Dimensions 12-15/16"L x 7-1/16"W x 8-3/8"H

Are the slightly higher AHs are worth the additional cost from about $75 to $100?

Re: Group 29?

Do you hae 29's currently? or are do you have the 27's and are thinking about 29's? the 29's appear to be an inch wider.........so they may or may not fit with in the box you have....

To me, 5 ahr is not worth $50 tween two batteries.......if you were getting 50 ahr, or a total of 100 ahr for $25 per battery, that is well worth looking at!

Re: Group 29?

I'm not finding a 29 battery, I can find a 31, 27 and a 24..........the 31 matches you measurements. It also appears as you note, the width is about 7" height is the 9".

Last I saw a 29, or a 33 maybe, turned out to be starting batteries, not deep cycle ones.

Re: Group 29?

Why not buy 2- 6v for larger plates and a greater number of deep cycles. Two give you at least 220 ah.

Re: Group 29?

Dave thanks. I have 2 of those for my other bank. got them last year.

AA3jy, 2 -109 ah 7s at $75 each is a good deal with a friend's 10% walmart discount.
