transfer switch

does anyone have a wiring diagram on how to build a 30amp ac transfer switch

a wiring diagram is the easy part. its simple it has 2 sources and one load side. it will look like a Y, with the switches on the 2 top legs. the 2 sources need to be interlocked so you dont put shore power thru the genny or inverter which ever is is the second source. the reason for having 2 breakers or switches per source is you need to break both the hot and the neutral.

and easy way to do the interlock is get a 4 circuit panel that you can interconnect the top 2 breakers or switches so they act as one, and then do the same for the bottom 2. then either have a sliding tab that will only allow one set to be on at once. another is a simple lever that the pivot point is between the 2 sets, and will not allow both sets to turn on at the same time.

i am assuming this is for 110 volt stuff, like shore power and genny/inverter.
