Link 2000R and Ideal Regulator

I have an old (1997) Link 2000R system that is dying. The voltage reads low (.9v)on the display compared to the wire going in the back of it. They are apparently not repaired or replaceable any longer.
The question: I have the Ideal Regulator and terminal board and a spare of each. Is there any other way to control the regulator than through the Link 2000R? or is it all junk?
