Jeanneau battery switches

Does anyone happen to know who makes the battery disconnect switches found on late model Jeanneau Sun Odyssey's? I need to add one and I'd prefer to use the same type.

The switches have large handles that rotate. The switch protrudes through a panel and the body of the switch is mounted by two screws through the panel. The handle is not a removable key. I've checked the usual suspects, Hella, Blue Seas, Vetus, etc and so far I haven't found them.

Not sure who stocks them in the US, but you can get them from France

They are stocked in France by kent-marine items E021 or E022 are the ones you need - but I can't see a makers name - I suspect thay may be chinese

The French for isolater switch is "coupe batterie" so if you search on google.fr for that you may find a maker/importer

Would be interested to learn if you find a maker/source of supply

I think they're the same make that Beneteau uses. Have you checked with a local dealer? I'd try both Jeanneau and Beneteau.

Call Jeanneau America at (410) 280-9400 and talk to Gilles. He heads up the parts department there and is very helpful in getting parts on order. Keep in mind that shipping is going to be about $38 no matter what you order as it all comes in from France.

I think Cole Hersee stills makes switches like that. And speed shops (auto performance parts) should carry something similar, required by many auto racing associations.

Thanks very much Malcolm - those look like the correct switches - I'll write to Kent and see what they reckon the freight cost will be

Cheers;
Roy

If you get a notably better price that going through Jeanneau USA, please let us know. If it were just a couple of bucks, I would prefer to keep Gilles in business and open stateside. There will eventually be something you need that you can only get from the manufacturer and its pretty helpful having them in Annapolis rather than France.
