About to put in wind generator where to connect green ground wire?

Am about to install my Air X marine generator on the transom of my Pearson 10M. There are 3 wires on the wind generator - am going to run the positive and negatives to my house battery with a short circuit switch to stop the blades in case of extreme winds etc. Can I just connect the green ground to say a ground on my keelbolts? Was reading that keelbolts are used as grounds but I wonder if that might be a bad idea as it could cause them to corrode faster? Otherwise where would be a good place to connect the green ground wire?

Join the green to the black and wire up as normal.

Simon is correct. Keelbolts can be part of a lightning ground but not an electrical ground.

The green wire goes directly to your ships main earth ground point. On most boats this is the engine. On many boats a keel boat is not a sufficient earth ground due to encapsulation or barrier coating. The green wire from the wind gen is your safety earthing wire.
