Trying to wire a windlass remote...

Hi Everyone,

Trying to setup my wireless windlass remote. The instructions call for me to wire the black to 0v. Is that the negative of the red/black wires running to the windlass...or do I have to run this black wire to ground (green wiring). Very confused by Lewmar's instructions...they make no sense to me sometimes.

Yes, negative and 0 would be the same. Lewmar, nor I, know the colors of wires on your boat. The Lewmar instructions are look clear enough.
Red goes to positive, black goes to negative or neutral/0'.

Thats the way I wired it then. Somethings busted because the wireless remote wont work, bu the handheld/wired remote works fine.

After speaking with Lewmar, their instructions were a bit off. You're supposed to join the brown and join them to the top post of the Windlass contactor.

Despite this, my remote did not work

I'm at wits end.
