solar power

Where is the best place with the best prices to buy solar panels and have them installed on my Leopard catamaran with a hard top Bimini?

Check your local craigslist. I picked up a new 240 watt panel for $335 here in San Diego. I also found a local place that would sell me 85 watt panels for $107.

Re: solar power

The quality of the panels matters and once you decide on the ones you want then it is a matter of price and compatibility between panels etc.

We have 485 watts of solar on our boat.

Another place to look is here where we purchased ours.

"Check your local craigslist. "
And be careful with that. There's also a fight going on online between someone who bought his panels that way, claims they don't work, and the BP advised him the panels were junked and never should been sold to him or anyone else. The (private) seller of course says he has no idea, he just sold the panels.

If the panels you look at don't have serial numbers, if the guy meets in a parking lot...You know.

Re: solar power

I have been looking at new solar panels and found these to be good on-line places:
Mr. Solar
Wholesale Solar has a 95Watt panel for $200. that is salt water tested and UL listed. Its a little big for my boat but maybe just right for yours!
Good Luck,
