Need Masthead Assembly Standard Horizon

Hi,

I am having big trouble finding this part...

My Standard Horizon Masthead Assembly fell off during transport. Standard Horizon is no help, you would think they would not abandon customers who purchased their products in the past but they did!

I am looking for the "masthead assembly" part# M13349004A. This is the wind vane assembly that screws into the black (transducer) at the top of the mast.

I attached a photo from the manual, I can't even find a photo of this thing anywhere online! This assembly fit WS100, WS150 and others.. I am flabbergasted on this one - this is the first time I have had zero luck finding a used part.. they must have sold not that many I guess.

Hoping to find someone with one laying around in the garage, thanks!

Re: Need Masthead Assembly Standard Horizon

I have no experience with the Standard Horizon products... but I see from looking at their manuals that they utilize a 5 pin connector. The Raymarine masthead assembly on my boat had to be repaired last year and I notice that they look remarkably similar. The Raymarine ST60 assembly also uses a 5 pin connector.

Crazy question... but I wonder if the connectors happen to be the same? As a last resort, I'm wondering if you couldn't modify the mount to accept the Raymarine assembly? Either directly, or through some sort of guerrilla engineering.

Re: Need Masthead Assembly Standard Horizon

Holy cow that sure looks the same. And thanks for the reply Sol! Boy oh boy that Raymarine stuff is high dollar though, whoa!

I am working on a '74 Laguna Windrose and the Horizon unit came with it and I was hoping to find a masthead assy that someone had lying around for hopefully not too awful much. I only paid $800 for the whole boat!

I also have a windex 10 for direction and I am a beginner sailor and don't plan on racing anytime soon so maybe I'll be ok without it.
