need help from the HAMS

I need a 470 microhenry 1/2 watt inductor
I translate the bands to be 460UF 10%
how would i order this?
This does not seem right....
4.7 UH INDUCTOR | AllElectronics.com
It looks completely different.
A point in the right direction is all i need. Thank you

Form factors aren't a big deal as long as the part fits.

You might also try Digikey and Neward Electronics.

Any of these suppliers will more than likely have what you want.

The original part may have axial leads (out the ends) or even be surface mount (no leads)

The form factor, wattage and voltage range will more than likely be key issues. Without more information on what this part is to be used for, that is as far as I can go.

That's microFarad, a capacitor. Not microHenry, an inductor.

Digikey's phone support will walk you through their inventory and set you up with the right part. I expect Newark and Mouser will as well, all three are great at sourcing parts. Offhand...either you meet the minimum order amount or you pay a stiffer shipping fee, so look around and see if you can use anything else, batteries, LEDs, buzzers, anything at all because sometimes it is simpler and cheaper to meet the minimum than not.

Of course, Real Men wind their own inductors, you just need some magnet wire and a core to wind it around. (VBG)

Re: need help from the HAMS

seeing as how this is my first foray into any type of microelectronic repair, I doubt i will wind my own. I am barely on the verge of learning. All i know is i have a wonky SEA 222 unit, and this is what i need to fix it X2 and also some easier 22 microfarad 25 volt tantalum capacitors.

However the first part i need is a 470 microhenry 1/2 watt inductor.
I need two of each. I my just call. I also have learned i need axial termination.
