Raymarine software update to Lighthouse II

Has anyone with a Raymarine MFD upgraded to the new Lighthouse II software?

I'm curious what the benefits were and if there were any problems with it.

I'm always hesitant to upgrade something that works, just because it looks sleeker.

Re: Raymarine software update to Lighthouse II

I updated it about a week ago and it went very smoothly! Follow the instructions and you should be all right.

The biggest improvement in my opinion is the ability to read .gpx file format that is the format readable by all gps machines. This means one can abandon the crappy Raymarine Voyager software and do my chartwork on Garmins Mapsource program. That was a huge improvement.
