Using a Pedestal Guard, Edisonís Vision for Electronics

My 35 Morgan does not have a nav station for say... It does have Chart storage, and a place for compass and ruler with the intend for you to use the U shaped settee as the chart table.

Since Iím upgrading the equipment, Iím considering moving all navigational equipment including the auto pilot, GPS chart top side to the Pedestal Guard, using an Edisonís Vision Series Triple Housing.

My technician who works on my boat at the marina says the Edison Vision is secure, and will protect my equipment from the elements, and further that it will not promote my equipment being stolen, anymore than having it below.
I worried about leaving it top side for weather and pirates... Whatís your opinion?

Is your boat rigged this way, and if so have you had any problems.

Many thanks

guard

My electronics have been out in the weather for years mounted in an Edson housing, including my chart plotter, and all is good. I wouldn't have it any other way. Go for it!
