New Garmin Chart Pricing

Did Garmin just reduce their chart prices or have they been this low for a while? I think I bought the data card for all of the Maine Coast 3-4 years back and paid around $260. Now you can get the entire East Coast and Great Lakes for $160. seems like a pretty good deal.

This has been their pricing for a while IIRC. Their pricing dropped quite a bit once they started selling units with pre-loaded charts. The charts on the pre-loaded units can be updated for about $150 IIRC.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
