HELP for ICOM AT-130 tuner installation
I was about to installing my AT-130 antenna tuner and I though I had all figured out but istead I was far away from shore still.
I got stuck on the control cable connection
Here my questons:
1) the manual states a 4-wire shielded cable but ...which wire size? also the manual rates max. 2A and I have a 27 feet distance to travel
2) next and most important is the connections inside the tuner .... maybe I'm missing something but in there there is the weirdest cable clamp/connector I've ever seen . How do I connect the wires ? I mean .. physically...do I have to solder orthere is a male connector which matches the female connector on the tuner board?
I'm not worried about the connection on the radio end since I can use alligator clamps or similar, but the connector on the tuner side is beyond my realm.
I read that I can buy a OPC control cable from ICOM but it is unresonably expensive andI wonder if it comes with the connector for the tuner end.
Any suggestion or advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx
