Looking for testers

I hope moderators will let the post stay - I don't really have access to a pool of testers elsewhere.

I need a few testers for a new set of functionality of the product "I shall not name", with the following qualifications:

1. Local. Testing would require at least some personal interaction of me watching you use the product. That means south Florida/Keys.

2. Owning a touch-screen system (Mac/Windows/Linux - doesn't matter)

3. Preferably using a computer on board for navigation (as opposed to/in addition to planning)

You would be using a number of new interface options in real world use scenarios.

Can't promise a reward for this other than moral satisfaction and a chance to play with a sailing gadget kinda thing Powerboaters are welcome to apply as well, though I have no idea where they hang out

You're going to have an issue...there aren't many touch screen computers out there, much less out on boats...

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

True, touchscreens are relatively rare, but things aren't all that dire. Mostly laptops (especially netbooks) as well as quite a few Macs with touch display out there.

I am working with a few testers, but none are local to me. As it turns out - this sort of thing is very difficult to convey without seeing what users do and how they do it. It's very individual and very much hands on.

That's why I am posting here - hopefully a larger number of readers means a decent chance of finding someone.

No Mac laptop made, except the ModBook which is an aftermarket hack, has a touch screen interface. Most netbooks don't have a touch screen either.

The only laptops I know of that have a touch-screen interface are the tablet or convertible tablet/notebook computers that use a pen-interface, like the Fujitsu T900. They are a very small minority of the computers out there.

no laptops but I consistently get reports of Mac Mini users with touch screens. Don't know why

I agree - it's not a majority by any stretch, but again, that's why I am here
