A bit of a bargain I reckon

Just picked up a Tacktick Sail Master speed/depth/heading thingy. It's a discontinued model, but is brand new in the box, $1700 in the catalogue, paid $200.
Not too bad I thought

oh no, you didn't buy that one, did you?
Horrible, horrible problems with those. They discontinued it for a reason, you know. They instantly make your boat 3 knots slower and point like a trimaran. Everyone is going to laugh at you. You really should have asked here first, and gotten the straight goods.
I feel sorry for you. Look, I hate to see you throw your money away, and i don't want to see anyone else buy one of these horrible horrible pieces of equipment, so, as a public service to the community, i will give you $200 for it, just to take it off the market and make sure it never ever gets sold to another unsuspecting sailor.

Paul, I'll give you 190... less, I know but it will cost you to ship it to blj... out of the goodness of my heart and to enable you to avoid all that frustration!

T37Chef will become famous soon enough
I'll offer $225, what the heck...

all kidding aside, I was able to get the T104 Sailing package at Defender a couple of years ago during their annual sail for just around $1700.00 plus I got the wireless remote with purchase, a really cool addition. Sorry but I think I got the better deal
