autohelm 4000 power plug

Anyone know how to disassemble the power plug on an autohelm 4000 control unit. I have a loose wire connection to the plug and there seems to be a special method to expose the wire connection. It appears that the retainer that secures the power plug when in use needs to be removed to expose the connection but I can't get it apart. Thanks;.

Unscrew the nut where the wire goes into the connector. Next, grab the end where the four female connectors are with a pair of plyers. Now unscrew the back shell. The back shell should have two flat spots where you can grab it with a wrench if needed.

Thanks for confiming that the end of the plug with the female connecters does unscrew. I thought that it should but it was so tight that I was reluctant to put the pliers to it until I knew for certain that it should unscrew. It did and the disconnected wire is back in place securely and the unit is working as it should once again. Thank you for your help.
