My Garmin 152 is sulking again

Last sail last year the gps stopped telling the DSC radio and laptop were we were. No problem as I just retraced the 60 nm gps route back home.
When put back on board last week its still sulking and I can,t figure out whats wrong. I fiddled around with the various GPS NEMA settings but no joy.
I have a home made serial to usb connector but this shouldn't affect the DSC.
The laptop chart potter is not critical but I would like to have the lat lon on the DSC, just in case.
Any ideas.
Safe sailing

Given that you have two input devices on two separate output ports not working it would seem that the problem would be on the output side either inside the GPS with the unit internals or the software. Did you try Garmin's support? I've always found them to be pretty helpful. You could try updatinh the software.

Thanks LB, good analysis, will look into the support suggestion.
Safe sailing
