I have a Garmin network with a 0183 chartplotter. I am planning on replacing my AP and instruments next spring. I would like to buy devices with NMEA 2000 support but I also want to connect my chartplotter. I want to display speed, depth and temp from my 2000 transducer to my 0183 charplotter. I also want to supply waypoint info to my new 2000 AP.
Has anyone used a NMEA 2000 to 0183 converter? Does it work well?

The does look well thought out (I read thru their web page material.) The most critical download pdf is the sentence conversion chart. Make sure all the instrument outputs you need are reflected in the chart.
