Ultrasoni speed Sensor

They all go down to one supplier
AIRMAR and their CS 4500 ultrasonic speed sensor
They sell them independently or supply Raymarine, CONMNAV Nexus, etc.etc..

Now here my predicament. I've got a NEXUS NX2 network on the boat and I have the opportunity to buy a Airmar CS4500 from a fella' here at my marina. It is an extremely good deal but that one sensor was installed in a Raymarine network.

Will the same work for my Nexus NX2 system? allthou' the Airmar product name is always CS4500 are they supplying different versions of the same sensor to match different networks?

Has anyone tried this? Any help or suggestion is very much appreciated

Looks like it does matter, though whether it's something you can work around would be best addressed by Airmar.
