New Transducer, old equipment

Hello everybody. I'm sure this has been answered before somewhere but here goes anyway.
On a recent haul out I was advised wrongly or rightly to change out my old 25yr old depth transducer, it did still work but "not for long" they said.
My question, I have installed said new transducer, and hooked it up to an ST40 tridata raymarine display, all works nicely, however onboard I have bits of the old system still in place, one of which being a Datamarine offshore depth alarm. Is there anyway I can hook this up to the new system via some kind of signal converter? I know this is probably not possible, just a shame not to be able to use this thing.

First off - the Raymarine ST40 is Bidata (Speed/Depth); the ST60 is a Tridata (Speed/Depth/Temp). Which have you??

If it's the ST60, it already has an offshore depth alarm function - you only need to set it up. You'll find the newer stuff has a lot more functions in it than the old, hence you're better advised to sell the Datamarine unit on Ebay and go sailing..
